What the Bible says about you.....Day 21

You are the temple of the Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 6:19

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own.

You are the place where the Holy Spirit dwells.  What does that mean? In the context of this verse Paul is telling us that whatever we do the Holy Spirit is in us and we need to remember that. He is telling the Corinthians to not sin because they need to remember they take the Holy Spirit with them when they do and we know He is grieved by our sin. That is the challenging news.

The good news is that as a temple of the Holy Spirit, He is always with you. All the power, all the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and all of the life flowing from the throne room of God is always with us. Things like truth, guidance, and wisdom need not escape us because the Spirit of all these qualities is in us always. At any time we can have full access to all that we need. He is not "out there somewhere" He is right with us always willing to supply all that we need.

How cool is that? What a blessing and a challenge to live with. God is faithful!!
