40 Days to a Better you! Day 25

January 25

Sorry about the mix up yesterday, if you already read this blog you may have missed the one that was scheduled for yesterday "Day 24"

It is Friday! It is a time to relax and enjoy and much deserved weekend. Make sure that you are spending time with you church family this weekend. We need each other and being in church is a great way to be with your family.

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scriptures and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

James 4:7, 8a

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Colossians 1:13

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love

Colossians 2: 10,15

"And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."

The devil is defeated by Christ work on the cross, are there ways in your life that He is alive? If so, how can the application of these scriptures defeat him for you?

5) Please pray about the following items

In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread

- Pray today and every day during our fast, a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!

- Pray for your health and healing blessing. We have had many people instantaneously healed in the last few months and we have some that have taken their time. God is the healer, we are not but it is part of his promises to us that he will heal. Healing is only the beginning, some having walked away from the promises of God have walked away from his blessings and opened the door to the problem returning. Healing should remind us of the goodness of God and cause us to desire to stay in Him.

- Pray for those who are unemployed or underemployed. The enemy of our souls wants to limit the way we think and will also use others to keep us mentally and emotionally strapped, limited to no job or a dead-end job. Pray that the Lord opens all kinds opportunities for our people so that all of their skills, talents and abilities can be used and that they will have enough for all of their needs and enough for every good work. We have an amazing group of people at our church that simply need a break.

         - Pray for the Spirit of Kindness in our culture. There is a great book called the "Conspiracy of Kindness" The idea is to be intentionally kind to someone you don't even know, pay for the persons lunch behind you in line, shovel a neighbors walk, randomly help someone with a task they are doing even if you don't know them. Kindness kills arrogance, hatred, and pride and it also grows love and joy. Try it today and pray that kindness floods our region and nation.

          - Pray for one family in our church. perhaps someone who either their first or last name begins with "L". Pray that the Lord would bless and encourage them in some way today!
