40 Days to a Better You! Day 33

February 2

It is Saturday! A Day to rest and enjoy family and also a day to get some things done around the house that need to taken care of.

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scriptures and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

Hebrews 13:5b, 6

For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6 So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Psalm 121:4

Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper;

Psalm 139:7 - 10

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.

Is there any place in the world, in your head or heart that you can go where God isn't with you? What do these scriptures say to you about His love and care for you?

5) Please pray about the following items

In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread

- Pray today and every day during our fast, a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!

- Pray for your fruitfulness blessings, that the Lord will continue to break us free of everything that  would hinder or stop our fruitfulness! The Father desires for us to bear fruit. Because we are in the Vine it is unnatural for us to not bear fruit. Expect fruitfulness in all that you do!

 - Pray for those battling addictions. There are many forms of addiction in the church it is easy to talk about alcohol, tobacco, gambling, food, and sex addictions but there are also people who are religiously addicted they feel comfortable in religion but not in the presence of the Lord, there are those with addictions to people where rather than loving and lifting others up they are in unhealthy relationships that keep them in bondage. There are many others. Anything that compels you to consistently act in an un-Christ-like manner is an addiction.

         - Pray for the Spirit of Meekness in our culture. Many people actually have a very real problem with this part of the fruit of the Spirit. We have learned through our lives that our strengths are to get us from here to there but meekness requires us to recognize that our strengths come from the Lord and He expects us to be totally submitted to Him, strengths and weaknesses. Meekness dictates that we understand our strengths and use them but rather than under our authority we both our strengths and weaknesses surrender to His authority.

          - Pray for one family in our church. perhaps someone who either their first or last name begins with "V". Pray that the Lord would bless and encourage them in some way today!
