We are new and the old is gone!
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new
If I am new why do I still feel like the old me? Our lives are full of choices from the simplest thing like what to wear and what to eat for breakfast to... Do I quit my job? What school should I attend? or Whom should I marry?
Whether we make a choice or not, we make a choice even by not making one. These choices determine our attitudes and how we feel about ourselves.
What Jesus did on the cross and our accepting what He did makes us new and overcome all of our past. We need to make the choice to believe it.
I know, I know it is not easy but we need to keep reminding ourselves that God's word is true and that my feelings and the devil will lie to me every time. Our feelings are our truth.
God is amazing that way, in His heart and mind, our past sin and garbage are no more and our future is all brand new. Make the choice today to believe His truth that the old is passed away and the all things are made new.
