What the Bible says about you....Day 23

You mind has been opened so you can understand all truth

2 Corinthians 3:14

But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ.

Many people are suffering from what is called "brain fog". It is hard to think clearly, to remember certain things, or to keep certain facts straight.

Much of that, I believe, is the direct result of all the things we are trying to accomplish, the myriad of items on our plates everyday. We are bosses or employees, we are parents and children, we are friends, church members, coaches (whether on the sidelines on on the field or rink), we wear many hats and try to keep it all together. Recent study show us that multitasking is really a myth, something always suffers when we multitask. I believe part of that is the cause of the "brain fog".

So what does that have to do with our minds being opened to all truth? Often we put on so many hats trying to please others and please God. We are trying to "work" our salvation. Or  our perception is that we need to always be busy. Busy-ness is not next to godliness. We want to be about our Father's business but at the same time resting in Him, casting our burdens on Him.

In the world are minds are hardened by the drive to perform, to live our lives the best way we can in our strength, it is all about us. We can end of frustrated, stressed, beat up and generally miserable. When we come to Christ He keeps are minds clear (he will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Him). We can walk in peace because we know and live in the truth He provides.
