40 Days to a Better You! Day 27

January 27

It is Sunday! I hope you are expecting great things from the Lord! God is going to do great things in the service today as you prepare for Him to do great things in and through you!

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scriptures and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

What does it mean to you that sin will not have control over you? Do you feel cleansed and free of every sin you have ever committed?

5) Please pray about the following items

In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread

- Pray today and every day during our fast, a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!

 - Pray for your health blessings that the Lord will continue to keep you and your family in great health! Many are still battling various flu bugs , sinus infections, bronchitis and so much more. Diseases do not determine God's will but we can believe God for an overcoming health blessing to fall on each of us and the church as a whole! Lay hands on and pray for thosein your household who are not well and let's believe together for healing!

- Pray for those who are on the finance committee, Al Gagliardi, Jon Kozik, and Gino Bosetti. These guys work tirelessly serving the Pastor Council and the church, preparing the budget and giving recommendation to help us grow and improve the facilities. They have a very hard job.

         - Pray for the Spirit of Self Control in our culture. Part of what is happening in your life and you are studying the Word daily, praying daily, exercising daily, and have given up something is that you are developing self-control in all of those area. Self Control leads us to surrender to God in all ways. We are to bring our flesh under subjection to Christ and then He does His perfect work through us.

          - Pray for one family in our church. perhaps someone who either their first or last name begins with "N". Pray that the Lord would bless and encourage them in some way today!
