What does the Bible say about you...Day 3

I am free of condemnation

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus

Romans 8:1

When you came to Christ he had already taken on all of our sin (I'll be talking about the freedom that comes with this, this weekend). No one has the right to condemn us or hold anything against us since Christ has already paid the price and I have accepted this gift for myself.

Then why do we some times feel condemned, guilty, or ashamed?

1) Our our memories condemn us - we remember the sins or wrong things we have done and we keep thinking about them. We need to remember they have been forgiven and we must chose to live as if we are forgiven

2) The devil knows our past - He likes to bring up our past to give us the sense that our sins are not truly forgiven. If he can cause us to doubt God and especially Christ love and sacrifice for us that he can cause us to live a life of condemnation and guilt rather than free from guilt, shame, and condemnation.

3) Some times we just need to make things right - there are times that we have done things were we need to make things right. Some times we need to apologize, or fix some things, some times we need to ask forgiveness of others. If we make things right we can have freedom from condemnation.

God's plan and the price Christ paid on the cross was all meant for our freedom! Choose today to live in that freedom!
