January 4
By now you may be struggling a bit with the fast or developing the new routine, hang in there! Don't give up! Getting past day 4 really helps to get you to the next level and begin overcoming!
1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.
Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.
Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days
2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God
3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work harder and better for you.
4) Read the following Scripture and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.
Philippians 3:10
I may know Him and the power of His
resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His
death,
If you have been ready the "Grace Walk", you are beginning to get a handle on what it means to be conformed to His death and the freedom that brings, if not you'll get to it as you read? What does it mean to you to know Him and the power of His resurrection? How should that power effect you daily life?
5) Please pray about the following items
In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread
- Pray today and everyday during our fast a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!
- Pray for your freedom blessings, that the Lord will continue to break us free of everything that binds us. We need to be set free of any lies, wounds, rejections, fears, addictions, sins, or any other thing that pulls us away from the Lord!
- Pray for the local businesses and their owners - as our region prospers the people begin to change. As businesses prosper more jobs are available, people, men especially, gain much of their value from their work
- Pray for the Faithfulness to overwhelm our area. So many marriages are in trouble in our region, so many people wander from church to church, so many children are not their to support their parents, most importantly so many have either wander from Christ or are afraid to share the Gospel. Faithfulness cures all of that!
