40 Days to a Better You! Day 19

January 19

It is Saturday a day for family, rest and enjoying the fellowship of friends. It is also a day to get things done around the house and I hope for you, a day to prepare for the great things that will take place in church tomorrow.

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scriptures and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

Romans 8:11

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

I want you to think about the freedom that it means to you that the power of God lives in you and that Christ is living through you!

5) Please pray about the following items

In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread

- Pray today and every day during our fast, a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!

- Pray for your health blessings that the Lord will continue to keep you and your family in great health! Let's believe the Lord that the flu is done with our region and that we will each be in health.

- Pray for your the Hazel Palmer all the wonderful team of ladies who help with the children's church worship every Sunday morning! They enable our children to learn to worship the Lord through singing at a level where they can easily flow.

         - Pray for the Spirit of Self Control in our culture. The fruit of the Spirit will be evident wherever the Holy Spirit is present. As a nation our spending, lust, greed and many other things are out of control. This is not a limiting fruit but "self control" actually brings us to freedom where there is no remorse guilt, debt or condemnation because we have learned to walk in freedom

          - Pray for one family in our church. perhaps someone who either their first or last name begins with "D". Pray that the Lord would bless and encourage them in some way today!
