40 Days to a better you! Day 7

January 7

I know Monday's can be hard but look at it as another opportunity to honor the Lord with all that you have!

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scripture and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

2 Chronicles 16:9

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

You have heard me use this scripture many times, what do you think it means to have God show himself strong to you? How would that look in all that you are doing today?

5) Please pray about the following items

In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread

- Pray today and everyday during our fast, a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!

- Pray for your prosperity blessing. Prosperity is many faceted it is health, finances, relationships and so many other things. John proclaims a blessing over the church asking that they should prosper and be in health even as their souls prosper (3 John 1:2)! Prosperity is something the Lord wants for His children so you come into a agreement with God's heart for you when you pray for you own prosperity.

- Pray for those who serve in the military. Part of the mandate of government according to the scripture is to defend the weak. Those in the military were never condemned by Jesus only told to do their jobs fairly! The military are placing their lives on the line every day for our personal freedoms. We need them to function as officers of peace for us.

         - Pray for the spirit of Meekness to take a primary role in our culture. Meekness is the ability to overlook and forgive offenses and the call to follow the Lord's word with humility. So many people are so easily offended we need this portion of the fruit of the Spirit to strengthen and encourage each one of us on a daily basis. Being free of offenses and humbly walking before God makes us a very powerful people.
