What the Bible says about you.....Day 17

You have wisdom, righteousness and are sanctified and redeemed!

1 Corinthians 1:30

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

Sometimes we develop a mindset that we have to work to "earn" things from God. Christ has already paid the price and/or made the way for all that we have need of for life.

Most of us have so many questions or we simply don't know how to walk this walk, Christ gave His life so that we might have wisdom. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father now so the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of wisdom and truth might always be with us.

As for righteousness, we can't be good enough to make it into heaven or even come into God's presence here on earth. Jesus became sin for us talking on all of our sin so that we might become the righteousness of God through Him. Does that mean we always act righteously or that God will bless everything we do? No! But what it does mean is that we have the privilege of having fellowship with the Lord always and have gained entrance into heaven not based on our works but His righteousness. As we mature, or grow in our sanctification we desire to sin less not out of fear of punishment but out of love for the Lord because of our growing love for Him.

I promised to keep these short so, very quickly. Sanctification is our process of growing to become like the Lord. Redemption is that a price had to be paid for our sin, we could not pay it with our works only Christ could pay it out of His great love for us. It has been paid in full. We just have to accept it.
