I have the mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 2:16
"For who can know the Lord ’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ"
The amazing thing about this verse is that it shows we have a choice. We can continue to think like the world, which all of those who are not yet in relationship with Christ are bound to, or we can think like Christ.
Proverbs tells us in 23:7 that the way we think is the way we are. Paul's writing to the Colossians in chapter 3:2 challenges us to set our minds on the things above.
We can choose everyday the way we are going to think and live. We have been given a great and wonderful gift, the mind of Christ. With this gift we can see things and understand things from a totally different and very powerful perspective.
Too often the enemy wants us to be down in the dumps, hopeless, lost, depressed, and overwhelmed, but because of Christ we know have access to his perspective on things, his hope, His joy, His freedom, His view of our future! What a gift!
Think about that today and apply it as you feel hurt, hopeless, or lost today. Apply the mind of Christ to your life, relationships, work, problems, and all things today! It will radically change you. It will show you how to have a hope and a future even in the most difficult of circumstances
