You are an heir to the Kingdom!
Romans 8:16,17
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
What does it mean to be an heir?
heir: a person who is entitled by law or by the terms of a will to inherit the estate of another; a person who inherits some title or office
You are legally entitled to inherit the kingdom. Because of Christ death on the cross you were, as it were, written into God's will. Whether you know it or not everything that is the Lord's is yours, because of accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior you are entitled to all the privileges of being His child.
That challenges us with two things
1) We have come into a great inheritance and we must be faithful to do well with it. To use it wisely and to make a difference with what we have been given
2) We must begin to act like we are heirs of the Kingdom. Living our lives daily like are are part of something far greater and far more valuable than anything we have ever done before.
You are an heir not because you deserve it, but simply because you are loved.
Choose to live and walk like it today
