40 Days to a better you # 3

January 3

We have just begun our amazing journey! Hang in there!

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scripture and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

1 Corinthians 13:3-7

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

How does the Lord's definition of love compare to how you love or more importantly how you understand that God loves you?

5) Please pray about the following items

In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread

- Pray today and everyday during our fast a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!
- Pray for your relationship blessings, that the Lord will continue to heal and strengthen every relationship in your life! Pray that He will order your relationships as well, eliminating those that are not a blessing to you and strengthening all those where you can be a blessing.
- Pray for the School administrators and Superintendent   - now more than ever the leadership of our school districts need our prayers.
- Pray for the Joy of Lord to overwhelm our area. The Lord promises the joy to replace mourning. Joy will be our strength!

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

What do you think it means to be "his" workmanship? What "good works" are we created for? What does this say about God's plan for our lives?

40 Days to a Better You #1

 January 1

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Start reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scripture and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

2 Corinthians 5: 17 -21

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. And all of this is a gift from Godwho brought us back to himself through ChristAnd God has given us this task of reconciling people to himFor God was in Christreconciling the world to himselfno longer counting people’s sins against themAnd he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliationSo we are Christ’s ambassadorsGod is making his appeal through usWe speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christwho never sinnedto be the offering for our sinso that we could be made right with God through Christ.

What does it mean to be a new creation? What is part of our job? What does it mean to be an ambassador for Christ? What does it mean to be made right with God?
