40 Days to a Better You! Day 26

January 26

It is Saturday! You should notice some changes, you should be growing stronger and your faith and understanding of who God is! Start expecting and believing for great things. God is maturing you, preparing you for greatness. Just Believe!

1) Please remember to choose something to stop doing.

Whether it is....
- a bad habit
- a sin you have struggled with, or
- some kind of food or drink that you know is not good for you.

Whatever it is break free over this next 40 days

2) Keep reading Grace Walk and/or Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God

3) Get some kind of exercise - Go for a walk, park farther away from the store or the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Find some way to help you physical body work    harder and better for you.

4) Read the following Scriptures and think and pray about it through out the day. See what revelation the Lord will give you about it for you day, week, year, or life.

Acts 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Daniel 12:3

Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

John 14:12

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

What do you think you can do to change the world? What works do you think the Lord will enable you to do to touch your world?

5) Please pray about the following items

In the Lord's prayer we are told to ask first for our daily bread

- Pray today and every day during our fast, a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what He has done for you!

- Pray for your understanding of God's blessings. There are hundreds of promises and blessings in the Word and some times we don't either believe them or feel worthy to receive the blessings but they are the promises of God and God will not go back on His word. He is faithful! Pray that you can have a deeper more powerful understanding of His blessings and promises.

- Pray for those who are suffering persecution around the world. About a week ago I woke up with my heart breaking for persecuted Christians in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and India only to find out later that afternoon about the American/Iranian Pastor Saeed being held in prison in Iran. We don't fully understand what many around the world are facing but as we pray, as in the book of Acts, prison doors can open and chains fall off and out persecuted brothers and sister will be strengthened and encouraged.

         - Pray for the Spirit of Faithfulness in our culture. Part of the quality of faithfulness is not running away nor giving up. Our culture is a throw-away culture, we dispose of everything including important things like relationships, unborn children, and marriages to name a few. In churches when people start feeling the pressure to mature they run away. In relationships when things get tough people break them off. If something is inconvenient we find away to get rid of it. Faithfulness is a quality that challenges us to hang in through the tough times, the difficult situations and to see what the Lord has to teach us through them. If we remain faithful there is a blessing at the end every time.

          - Pray for one family in our church. perhaps someone who either their first or last name begins with "M". Pray that the Lord would bless and encourage them in some way today!
